We are pleased to announce the second version of the course "Individual-based Modeling in Epidemiology: a Practical Introduction". Individual-based model, also frequently referred to as agent-based models, are a relatively new class of models suited to gain insight into the population dynamics of complex systems that emerge from the characteristics and interactions of individuals in the population. Due to unforeseen circumstances and a low number of registered participants we regret to inform you that we had to decide to cancel this year's course. We know this is disappointing news but we would like to thank you for your interest in our course which we plan to run again in 2018.
We would like to thank all the participants and speakers of the 7th SIMID-RESCEU-TransMID workshop. The presence and enthusiasm of such a variety of researchers make these meetings so worthwhile.
