SIMID course: 17-21 September 2018

We are happy to announce the 7th SIMID course on “Infectious Disease Modelling and Health Economic Evaluation of Vaccines” for people who want to expand their modelling toolbox and understanding of cost-effectiveness analysis when it is applied to vaccines. The 5 day course in Antwerp, Belgium, will include many tutorials in R and MS Excel.


Program

  • DAY 1  – Monday 17 September 2018 (11h-17h)
    Introduction to Mathematical  models for infectious diseases (using R)
  • DAY 2 – Tuesday 18 September 2018 (9h-17h)
    Inferring parameters from data (using R)
  • DAY 3 – Wednesday 19 September 2018 (9h-17h)
    Meta-population and agent-based models (using R)
  • DAY 4 – Thursday 20th September 2018 (9h-17h)
    Introduction to health economic evaluation:  general concepts and dealing with uncertainty (with practical applications using R and MS Excel)
  • DAY 5 – Friday 21 September 2018 (9h-15h)
    Economic evaluation of vaccination programmes: specific issues (with practical applications using R and MS Excel)

Participants can choose which set of days to attend days 1-3 or/and days 4-5
